Verify your tattoo design before it becomes permanent

BeforeInk scans your stencil draft for line density, anatomical flow, and aging blowout risks, giving you clear talking points for your session.

Why check your design before the studio?

Once ink enters the skin, editing is no longer an option. Minor detail clusters that look crisp on an iPad screen can easily bleed into dark, indistinguishable shapes over time due to natural ink migration. BeforeInk analyzes your design file to catch these hidden details early.

  • Find line gaps under 1.5mm that risk merging.
  • Check proportions of wings, skulls, faces, and limbs.
  • Ensure the design adapts dynamically to your skin curvature.

What BeforeInk checks

Our diagnostic model runs an automated evaluation of design files, line segments, and spacing parameters:

  • Line weights: identifies outlines under 1.5 mm that run a high risk of merging over the years.
  • Gap clearances: maps micro-gaps and parallel lines to ensure shading does not bleed together.
  • Symmetry & anatomy: highlights distortions in organic details like skulls, feathers, wings, and joints.
  • Muscle flow: estimates curvature mapping to wrap the drawing naturally around joints and contours.

Common questions

What files can I check?
We support PNG and JPG files up to 10 MB. Sketches, stencils, or photo reference files with clean linework provide the most accurate diagnostic scan.
