1. What BeforeInk does

BeforeInk is a tattoo design second-opinion tool.

It helps users review uploaded tattoo designs, sketches, references, stencil images, or placement photos for visible design concerns such as:

Detail density
Aging or blur risks
Placement concerns
Anatomy or object consistency issues
Stencil-readiness concerns
Questions to ask a tattoo artist

BeforeInk does not replace a qualified tattoo artist.

2. No professional advice

BeforeInk does not provide medical advice, legal advice, health advice, tattoo safety advice, or professional tattooing advice.

Reports are informational only. They are designed to help you ask better questions before your tattoo session.

Your tattoo artist is responsible for final design decisions, placement, technical execution, safety, hygiene, and suitability for skin.

3. No guarantees

BeforeInk does not guarantee that:

A tattoo will age well
A tattoo will not blur, fade, blow out, distort, or heal poorly
A design is or is not AI-generated
A tattoo artist will agree with the report
A report will identify every issue
A report will be error-free or complete

Tattoo results depend on many factors outside BeforeInk’s control, including artist skill, skin type, placement, technique, aftercare, ink, healing, and time.

4. User responsibility

You are responsible for:

The images and information you upload
Making sure you have the right or permission to upload the design
Not uploading private, illegal, harmful, or sensitive content
Reviewing the report critically
Discussing concerns with a qualified tattoo artist before making decisions

Do not upload images that include faces, nudity, private body parts, government IDs, medical documents, or content you are not allowed to share.

5. Artist and design rights

Tattoo sketches, references, and designs may belong to you, your tattoo artist, or another creator.

By uploading content, you confirm that you have the necessary rights or permission to use it for a private BeforeInk review.

We do not claim ownership of your uploaded designs.

6. License to process uploads

You grant BeforeInk a limited license to store, process, analyze, and display your uploaded content only as needed to provide the service, generate your report, operate the website, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

7. Beta service

BeforeInk may be offered as a beta or early-access service.

Beta features may change, break, be delayed, or be removed at any time. Reports may be manually reviewed or generated with AI assistance.

8. Payments and refunds

If paid reports are available, pricing will be shown before purchase.

Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers.

Because reports may involve digital analysis and AI-generated output, refunds are not guaranteed once a report has been generated, unless required by law or stated otherwise at checkout.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Upload illegal, abusive, hateful, sexual, exploitative, or harmful content
Upload content involving minors
Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or attack the service
Use BeforeInk to harass artists or other people
Misrepresent BeforeInk reports as a final professional verdict
Use the service for unlawful purposes

10. Service availability

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of BeforeInk at any time.

We are not responsible for delays, downtime, data loss, third-party provider issues, or unavailable features.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BeforeInk is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including tattoo dissatisfaction, lost deposits, appointment issues, artist disputes, or decisions made based on a report.

12. Indemnity

You agree to hold BeforeInk harmless from claims arising from your uploaded content, misuse of the service, violation of these Terms, or violation of another person’s rights.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
